Data storage

Data storage within WETSCAPES2.0 is built on a distributed yet interoperable infrastructure that ensures reliability, scalability, and accessibility. The primary data repository is based on CKAN and is hosted at the University of Greifswald, providing a structured environment for dataset publication, metadata management, and controlled access. In parallel, complementary storage solutions are maintained at the University of Rostock, leveraging object storage systems compatible with the Amazon S3 REST API. This dual approach allows flexible handling of large volumes of sensor and derived data, supports redundancy and performance optimization, and ensures seamless integration with retrieval, processing, and long-term archiving workflows.

Central Project-data Repository
