Interdisciplinary Research in the Peatlands of the Future
Are you eager to contribute to research tackling some of today's most pressing environmental challenges?
Peatlands play a key role in climate mitigation, biodiversity conservation and sustainable land use. At WETSCAPES2.0, researchers from a wide range of disciplines are working together to understand and shape the peatlands of the future.
Join one of Europe's largest interdisciplinary peatland research initiatives and work alongside researchers from ecology, hydrology, microbiology, geosciences, and more.
WETSKILLS, the Integrated Research Training Group of WETSCAPES2.0, offers research scholarships for outstanding graduates interested in addressing complex environmental challenges through interdisciplinary research that combines field investigations, laboratory experiments, environmental monitoring, modelling, and stakeholder engagement.
The programme is open to outstanding scholars at doctoral level from around the world who wish to gain research experience within one of the interdisciplinary WETSCAPES2.0 subprojects. WETSKILLS invites applications for research scholarships with a duration of 6 to 12 months. Scholarship projects are designed to contribute to an ongoing doctoral research project.
Applications are welcome from candidates representing all scientific disciplines covered by the WETSCAPES2.0 research programme.
Apply now until the 15th of November 2026!
